'The online environment has become an irresponsible playground to vent our unresolved issues, and essentially abuse people we do not know. Whilst this is not the case for all, the amount of cyber-abuse occurring is huge and has rapidly increased in recent years. Question: would there be anywhere near the amount of abuse on the internet if we were not able to be anonymous? Given as a society we do not accept someone abusing people on the street to remain anonymous, why do we accept it if they are doing it online?' - Brendan Mooney Psychologist
